01 Information We Collect
We collect a minimal set of information necessary to provide and improve SortShorts. We do not collect or store browsing history, Instagram or TikTok content, posts viewed, or any other personal data from your social accounts.
- Email — retrieved from your Chrome browser to link your account and sync Pro access across devices.
- User ID — an internal identifier for database reference.
- License key — used only for Pro users who purchased SortShorts Pro.
- Account state — indicates whether your account is Free or Pro, and your current subscription plan.
- Creation date — marks the date of your Pro purchase or first app use (for free users).
No social data stored. Posts, likes, comments, and video data are processed locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
02 How We Use the Information
Your data is used only for the following purposes:
- Verify and activate your SortShorts Pro license
- Sync your Pro access across browsers and devices
- Maintain accurate account records
- Enforce feature limits based on your plan (free vs. Pro)
We never sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.
03 Chrome Permissions
SortShorts uses certain Chrome permissions — including storage, scripting, and identity — strictly to enable Pro access, sync user status, and enhance your experience.
These permissions do not allow us to read or modify your browsing history or content on third-party websites beyond what is displayed on your current tab for the purpose of sorting and analyzing.
04 Third-Party Services
SortShorts uses a small number of trusted providers to operate. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security policies.

We retain your account data only as long as necessary to maintain your license or comply with legal obligations.
If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your record from our systems promptly.

You can request deletion or correction of your data at any time by contacting us at sortandgrowshorts@gmail.com. We'll respond to all privacy-related requests within a reasonable timeframe.
If you're located in the European Union, we process your information under the legal basis of legitimate interest and user consent, as required by the GDPR.

SortShorts does not use Google Analytics, cookies, or any tracking scripts. No data about your browsing behavior or platform activity is collected or shared.
